Rustlers Earn Shut-out Win
Visalia, Calif. – Golden West College(1-3) baseball team earned its first victory of the season by shutting out Hartnell College(2-3) 10-0 Saturday morning.

Visalia, Calif. – Golden West College(1-3) baseball team earned its first victory of the season by shutting out Hartnell College(2-3) 10-0 Saturday morning.
The offense came out executing in the first inning as Zakk Morgan (2 for 3, 1 run scored, 2 RBI) would score Jeremiah Vison (2 for 5, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI) on an RBI single. Junior Aguilar (1 for 4, 1 run scored) followed with a single setting up runners on first and third base for Jeff Zordani (2 for 5, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI) to reach base on an error by the right fielder that scored Morgan from third. Aguilar would then score on a wild pitch and Nick Tingrides(1 for 3, 1 RBI) would hit an RBI single to cap off the inning and give the Rustlers a 4-0 lead.
The offense would continue to grow the lead highlighted by two solo homeruns by Zordani on their way to a 10-0 victory.
Sophomore pitcher Stephen Knapp had a strong outing throwing seven innings while giving up three hits and striking out seven.
