Offense Comes Alive as the Rustlers Win
Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West College (17-17,7-8) used a four run first innings to secure their back to back wins against Moorpark College (17-16) 7-2.

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West College (17-17,7-8) used a four run first innings to secure their back to back win against Moorpark College (17-16) 7-2.
Justin Marquez got the Rustlers started with a single and then Moorparks starting pitcher Chad Gubiza would walk the next three batters to score Marquez from third. Chris Rodriguez would then smack a single up the middle that would plate two more runners and finally Junior Aguilar hit an RBI single to give the Rustlers a 4-0 lead.
Moorpark would score a run in the second and fourth innings to cut into the lead 4-2 but the Rustler offense took advantage of a couple errors to score one run in the seventh and two runs in the eighth to take the victory 7-2.
Stephen Knapp would throw five innings surrendering two runs on five hits while striking out five to earn his sixth win of the season.
Next: Golden West will travel to rival Orange Coast College Tuesday April 18th for a 2pm start.
