Rustlers Wrap Up Dual Meet Season
Freshman David Jorth took first place in the 1000 free with a time of 9:53.84, an astonishing 30 seconds faster than second place.
Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West College men's swimming team lost to Orange Coast College in a dual meet on Friday, March 23rd, 90-121.
The Rustlers Kicked off the meet with a second-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay. The group of freshman Garrett Pickford, Sophomore Eddie Malick, Sophomore Garret Glore, and freshman Duncan Burrows finished with a time of 3:47.20.

The 200 Free the Rustlers took first, third and fourth as Miso Halac won the event positing a time of 1:50.24. Freshman Aaron Rafferty third (1:54.71), and freshman Sean Grab fourth(1:55.91).
Sophomore Duncan Burrows took first in the 50 free in a time of 22.08, and right behind him taking second place was Garret Pickford (22.30).
Jorth's time of 4:50.60 in the 500 Free was good enough to become the only Rustler who was a double event winner for the meet.
Golden West's next competition is schedule for April 19-21 at Riverside as they compete in the Orange Empire Conference Championships.
