TJ Fenton Named as Inaugural Women’s Flag Football Head Coach

Huntington Beach, CA — Golden West College Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of TJ Fenton as the first-ever Head Coach of its Women's Flag Football program.

A dedicated educator and dynamic football coach, Fenton currently serves as the Founder and Head Coach of the OC Bolts High School National Team, the No. 1 ranked girls flag football club team in the nation, according to Zorts Sports. Under his leadership, the OC Bolts have become a powerhouse on the national stage, known for their elite performance, player development, and positive team culture.

In addition to his success in the club circuit, Fenton has been a vital part of the football program at Los Alamitos High School since 2016, where he currently serves as the Offensive Coordinator for the boys' team. His coaching career began as a Quarterbacks Coach at his alma mater, Southern Utah University, following a standout playing career at the same institution.

Fenton holds a Master of Education from the University of Arkansas ('25), a Physical Education Teaching Credential from Cal State Long Beach ('19), and a B.S. in Physical Education & Human Performance from Southern Utah University ('16). He lives in the city of Orange with his wife, Miranda, and remains committed to supporting young athletes both on and off the field.

Fenton will begin assembling his inaugural roster and coaching staff in the coming months, with the program's debut season slated for spring 2026.
