Rustlers Flag Football Postseason Awards Announced
Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West College women's flag football program earned major recognition from the Orange Empire Conference following their inaugural season, highlighted by Kennedy Bowe being named the Orange Empire Conference Offensive Player of the Year while six Rustlers collected first-team and second-team all-conference honors.
Golden West finished the 2025-26 campaign with a 6-8 overall record and a 2-4 mark in Orange Empire Conference play while competing for the first ever OEC championship. The Rustlers opened the season by winning five of their first nine contests, including victories over conference regular season co-champs Cypress College and Irvine Valley College during the regular season.
Bowe headlined the postseason accolades after leading one of the conference's most explosive offensive attacks throughout the season. Golden West placed two student-athletes on the All-OEC First Team Offense, including Joslyn De La Torree and Amelia Villegas.
On the defensive side, Abby Quinlan and Amari Webb earned First Team All-OEC Defense honors after anchoring a strong Rustlers defensive unit throughout conference play.
Golden West also added several second-team selections. Jazzi Beisner and Elise Marquez were recognized on the Second Team All-OEC Offense squad, while Leilani Garcia and Crystal Rodriguez earned Second Team All-OEC Defense recognition.
Conference co-champions were Cypress College and Irvine Valley College, while Irvine Valley captured the conference tournament championship.
