Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West women's basketball team improved to 7-2 Wednesday night with their blowout win 101-32 over visiting Compton College.
The Rustlers used a heavy press all game to frustrate the Tartars offense to the tune of 41 turnovers and 54 points off those turnovers for Golden West.
Meghan McIntyre led the offense with an efficient 30 points on 13-18 shooting and a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arc, she also tallied seven steals and seven assists. Emma Mehus came off the bench to record her first double-double of the season with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Golden West is back at it on the road Thursday, December 16 at 3pm when they take on Imperial Valley at SD City College.
