Golden West Places Five on 2025 All-Orange Empire Conference Women’s Water Polo Team; Flesher Named Co-Coach of the Year
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. —Following a standout 2025 season, Golden West College women's water polo earned widespread postseason recognition as five Rustlers were named to the All–Orange Empire Conference (OEC) team, while several student-athletes also collected Southern California Regional and All-American honors.
In addition, Head Coach Matt Flesher was selected as the OEC Co–Head Coach of the Year, honoring his leadership of a Rustler squad that finished 19–11 overall, placed third at the OEC Championships, and secured a fifth-place finish at the Southern California Regionals.
All-OEC First Team
Hanna Menyhart, So. | Utility
Menyhart continued to establish herself as one of the conference's most dynamic scorers, finishing the season with 72 goals in 27 matches while starting every contest. The sophomore consistently delivered in big moments and was a key offensive catalyst throughout conference play.
Sienna Abernathy, Fr. | Utility
Abernathy enjoyed a standout freshman season, leading Golden West with 89 goals while starting all 27 games. Her scoring ability, speed, and physicality made her one of the most difficult matchups in the OEC and earned her First Team honors in her debut season.
All-OEC Second Team
Mimi Versegi, Fr. | Utility
Versegi was a constant offensive presence for the Rustlers, ranking second on the team with 87 goals and adding two assists while starting all 27 games. Her versatility and finishing ability were instrumental in Golden West's success throughout the season.
All-OEC Honorable Mention
Catherine Le, So. | Utility
Le provided steady production and leadership, totaling 31 goals while starting all 27 matches. Her clutch scoring and consistency earned her All-OEC recognition for the second straight season.
Sam O'Donnell, Fr. | Utility
O'Donnell made an immediate impact in her first collegiate season, recording 37 goals in 26 starts. Her physical style of play and ability to score in transition and on set offense earned her honorable mention honors.
The Rustlers also received regional recognition, highlighting the program's growing presence on the statewide and national stage.
