Thursday Night Football Matchup at Pasadena on Tap for No. 2 Rustlers
No. 2 state-ranked Golden West College (5-0, 2-0 NCL) opens the second half of the season with a special Thursday night matchup at No. 17 Pasadena City College (3-2, 1-1 NCL) on October 9. Kickoff for the National Central League game is scheduled for 6 p.m. at PCC's Robinson Stadium.
For the first time since 2015, the Rustlers are 5-0 on the field to open the season.
TICKETS | Tickets are available online in advance at the PCC Tickets Page or at the Robinson Stadium Ticket Booth located at the east side of the stadium 45 minutes before game time.

RANKINGS | Golden West went into the bye week moving up one spot to No. 2 in the most recent state coaches poll by the JC Athletic Bureau. Pasadena City jumped from No. 22 to No. 17 in the state rankings.
LAST WEEK | In their last action, the Rustlers cruised to a 56-14 triumph over East Los Angeles College at home on September 27.
Golden West held a narrow 14-6 advantage in the second quarter before scoring 35 unanswered points to go ahead 49-6 in the third.
Sophomore quarterback Kauna'oa Kamakawiwo'ole was impressive in his first start of the season as he threw four touchdown passes. Kamakawiwo'ole completed 13 of 19 passes for 170 yards with three of his four TDs coming in the second quarter.
The Golden West defense also did its part to limit the Huskies' scoring chances. The Rustlers totaled three interceptions, with two coming from Drew Faulkner and another by Mason Driffill. Driffill returned his INT 61 yards for a touchdown early the second quarter.
ABOUT PASADENA CITY | The Lancers bounced back from a narrow 20-14 Week 4 loss at Canyons to defeat Bakersfield 45-24 before last week's bye.
PCC trailed 17-0 late in the second quarter before rallying to score five touchdowns in the third quarter as part of a 45-point scoring run. Running back Noah Triplett had a pair of rushing TDs while quarterback Xavier Buckles completed 16 of 26 passes for 166 yards with a touchdown and interception.
LAST MEETING | With Pasadena City making the jump to the National Division this season, the two squads will be facing off for the first time since 2013. In a game at PCC, the Rustlers rolled to a 45-10 victory. Quarterback Chris d'Entremont tossed two touchdowns and ran in for a pair of TDs as well to lead the offense while receiver Kyrel Brown had 11 catches for 161 yards.
PCC won the 2012 matchup by a final score of 17-9 at LeBard Stadium.
