HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – The Golden West College men's volleyball program has earned the No. 2 overall seed in the upcoming 3C2A Men's Volleyball State Championships and will open postseason play at home on Friday, April 17.
The Rustlers (20-3) will host No. 7 seed Santa Monica College in a first-round matchup scheduled for a 5pm. first serve inside the Golden West Gym.
Golden West enters the postseason with strong momentum, having defeated Santa Monica twice during the regular season both in straight-set sweeps. The Rustlers' balanced offensive attack, efficient hitting, and consistent defensive presence have positioned them as one of the top contenders in the state.
The Rustlers look to defend their 2025 state title behind the strong play of outside hitter Gino Viggiano who leads the team with 194 kills but followed closely by oppo Aidan Dubno's 174 kills.

The winner of Friday's match will advance to the final four of the 3C2A Championships hosted by Long Beach City College Thursday, April 23rd and Saturday, April 25th.
