Rustlers Earn Four All-Southern Division Selections, Highlighted by Two First Team Honorees
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – The Golden West College men's volleyball program was well represented in the postseason awards as four Rustlers earned All-Southern Division honors, highlighted by first team selections Aidan Dubno and John Braunstein.
In addition, AJ Kuebrich and Gino Viggiano were named to the All-Southern Division Second Team following standout seasons that helped lead Golden West to a 24-3 overall record and 11-3 mark in conference play.
Dubno capped off a dominant campaign as one of the top offensive players in the state. The sophomore outside hitter led the Rustlers with 220 kills (2.75 kills per set) while hitting an impressive .360. He also contributed 29 service aces, 65 total blocks, and 281.5 total points (3.5 points per set), showcasing his all-around impact on both sides of the net.
Braunstein anchored the Rustlers' offense as the team's primary setter, finishing with 464 assists (6.03 assists per set) while directing Golden West to a .289 team hitting percentage. In addition to his playmaking ability, Braunstein added 101 digs and 21 service aces, demonstrating his versatility and leadership on the court.
Viggiano earned second team honors after recording 221 kills (2.70 kills per set) and 266.5 total points. The sophomore was a key offensive weapon throughout the season, adding 27 service aces and 136 digs while contributing in all phases of the game.
Kuebrich was recognized for his strong two-way play at the net, finishing with 116 kills and a .388 hitting percentage. He was also one of the Rustlers' top blockers, totaling 78 blocks (1.08 blocks per set), while adding 173.5 total points on the season.
