Beach Vball: Rustler's Split Matches on the Sand

Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West women's volleyball team squeezed in two matches on the sand today before the rain came. They started the day beating San Diego City College Knights 3-2 and then fell to California State University Los Angeles 3-2. 

Number one pairs Ashleigh Atsaros and Andrea Gonzalez clinched the victory for the Rustlers as they broke the 2-2 tie with a two set sweep of SD City 21-16 and 21-18.

Number 2 pairs Jasmine Gonzales and Akimi Fujikura (GWC) lost to Ferraro/Reid (SD City) 23-25, 20-22.

Number 3 pairs Cherene Uale and Amanda Sosa (GWC) lost Julima/Danardi (SD City) 8-21, 21-14, 6-15.

Number 4 pairs Keilani Pearson and Erica Cantley (GWC) beat Wonder/Weakland (SD City) 21-14, 21-10.

Number 5 pairs Eden VaWaardenburg and Holly Hennessy (GWC) beat Thomas/Rubio (SD City) 21-10, 21-9.
