Rustlers Earn OEC Doubleheader Sweep with Wins Over Riverside and Fullerton
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — The Golden West College beach volleyball team continued its strong run through Orange Empire Conference play on Friday, earning two home wins to stay unbeaten in OEC action. The Rustlers defeated Riverside City College 4–1 before completing the day with a 5–0 sweep of Fullerton College at the Golden West College Beach Volleyball Courts.
Match 1: Golden West 4, Riverside City College 1
Golden West opened the day with a solid conference victory over the Tigers, winning four of the five pairs matches.

No. 1 – Maren Matthews / Megan Freck earned a straight-set victory over Kiera Isgar / Jayden Franchere, 21-8, 21-11.

No. 2 – Jenna Zaffino / Mackenzie Dorney followed with a dominant 21-12, 21-12 win against Amanda DeLeon / Savannah Smith.

No. 3 – Jalissa Costa / Pearl Miller fell to Riversides's Marissa Ramirez / Eunice Castro, 21-19, 21-16.

No. 4 – Cassandra Zoellers / Sorelle Buley delivered another straight-set win, defeating Serena Wilson / Ciera Bruno, 21-11, 21-8.
- No. 5 – Emalee Alton / Annalee Smith defested Kayla Tate-Rogers / Jessica Lopez 21-13, 21-10
Match 2: Golden West 5, Fullerton 0
The Rustlers closed the day in dominant fashion, sweeping all five pairs matches against the Hornets.

No. 2 – Zaffino / Dorney continued their strong play with a 21-2, 21-9 victory over Lucy Kowalsky / Addison Ortega.

No. 3 – Costa / Miller secured the third point with a 21-8, 21-6 win against Jaidyn Preciado / Daisy Resendiz.

No. 4 – Zoellers / Buley added another win, 21-6, 21-8, over Jazette Mina / Addison Campbell.

The Rustlers continue to roll as they improve to 11-1 overall and 6-0 in OEC play. They travel to the Newland Beach Courts to take on host Orange Coast College on Friday, March 20th at 10am.
