Norco, Calif. – The Golden West College (2-3-1, 1-1-1) women's soccer team earned its first OEC win of the season defeating Norco College (3-3-1, 0-2-1) 2-1.
Valentina Manns was all the fire power the Rustlers needed as she scored both goals in the first eight minutes of the match. Manns first goal was assisted by Taylor Evans on a perfectly timed drop back pass three minutes into the match. With a little less than eight minutes on the clock Manns scored her second goal off a corner kick from Karen Mondragon.
Norco would get on the board to cut the lead in half before halftime on a corner kick by Selena Cisneros. The Rustlers defense and goalie Brooke Riddle would hold onto the 2-1 lead the rest of the way to earn the victory.
